for 65th annual chamber banquet
The Panola County Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating it's 65th year with a banquet to be held on Thursday, February 24, at the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame/Tex Ritter Museum. The chamber banquet will honor the Ambassador of the Year, chairman's awards, Employee of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Citizen of the Year. The Employee of the Year and Volunteer of the Year are sponsored by KGAS Radio. The citizen of the Year is sponsored by The Panola Watchman. Doors will open at 6:00 pm with the meal being served at 6:30 pm. The program is set to begin at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $30 each and may be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce Office or reserved by calling the Chamber at 903.693.6634. Deadline for reservations is Monday, February 21. Tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door.
Guest speak for the evening will be Ray Stone. The upcoming 2011 season will be Ray's 39th year of producing and hosting the "Cowboys Football Report," a syndicated Monday through Friday radio program airing in five states on 201 radio stations. In addition to the "Cowboys Football Report," Ray also produced the nationally syndicated, "Inside the NFL," hosted by Roger Staubach. Over the past 20 years, Ray has traveled the southwest speaking on the humorous stories that never made the sports pages involving the Dallas Cowboys--stories about Don Meredith, Roger Staubach, Jethro Pugh, Walt Garrison, Tom Landry, Danny White, Troy Aikman, and current players.
A great night with food, fellowship, and an entertaining speaker, the annual banquet is a highlight in Panola County.
